Release Date: November 2, 2012

Here is another movie where Denzel Washington absolutely excels with his performance. Come to think of it, it is very rare to say that a movie that has Denzel in it is considered to be at least bad. Denzel is one of the best actors of all time. Now let’s get to the film “Flight.” Whip Whitaker (Washington) is an extremely talented airline pilot, and on a very routine day where he has to pilot an airliner from Orlando to Atlanta, something goes wrong with the plane and Whip does everything in his power to save all 102 people that are aboard the plane. With some exceptional maneuvering and quick thinking, Whip is able to crash land the plane into an open field. Whip suffers a concussion along with other injuries, but he survives the crash. However, 4 passengers and 2 flight crew members were not as fortunate. With an investigation from the NTSB, some light of the crash starts to surface and one big reason that the NTSB is looking into is Whip’s drinking problem. Will Whip be considered a hero for saving so many lives, or will he be the villain? Watch and you will find out. This is one great movie to watch. The acting is tremendous. The plot is an attention grabber and there just are not too many flaws with this film. The cast is a great one. Besides Denzel, there is also Don Cheadle, Kelly Reilly, Bruce Greenwood and John Goodman. For you “The League” and “My Name is Earl” fans out there, you will also get a special treat with Nadine Velazquez (Ruxin’s Wife in “The League”) being in the film as well.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
