“Rise of the Guardians”

“Rise of the Guardians”

Release Date: November 21, 2012

In a somewhat darker version of a story about the guardians, “Rise of the Guardians” certainly does not disappoint. The evil spirit “Pitch Black” who thrives off of fear, sets his plan of corrupting children all around the world into stop believing in the likes of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and The Sandman. These four guardians were chosen from The Man in the Moon to watch over the children and protect them from the likes of any kind of evil that may come their way. Pitch has waited a very long time in building up his strength and his attack plan for the entire planet and once his plan goes into effect, not even the 4 “All-Star” Guardians will be able to stop The Boogeyman! But, the wild card that The Man on the Moon has played is Jack Frost. Frost has been creating snow days and having fun for hundreds of years without realizing what his true calling is. Jack is invisible to everyone that he comes into contact with (except for the Guardians of course) because no one believes in him. I really enjoyed watching this film (and children should absolutely love it as well, especially around Easter and Christmas time, or whenever they lose a tooth) and the storyline is very intriguing and well thought out. The voice actors do a phenomenal job. You have the likes of Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law lending their voices out in this film.
