“The Croods”

“The Croods”

Release Date: March 22, 2013

Here is a film that will be an absolutely fun one to watch for the entire family. With being able to recognize most of the voices right off the bat, it is that much easier in connecting with the characters on screen. The actors picked to lend their voices in this animated adventure comedy fit perfectly. Every one of their voices is very recognizable right from the start of the movie. With animated films, if you cannot recognize the voices of the actors that are talking, then you will more than likely spend half the time trying to figure out who they are and not really pay attention to what is going on. With the likes of Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, you will not have that problem in this one.

Time will certainly fly by while watching “The Croods.” For me, it took a couple of scenes for me to really get into the movie, but once I connected, it was like reaching the top of the climb during a roller coaster ride and then BAM! The film just takes off from there. The comedy, the drama, the storytelling will all stick with you afterwards and while the story is about a family of cavemen, you will be able to learn a little history along the way as well for what it may have been like as a caveman back in the day.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

I certainly didn’t like this one as much as you do, but I agree that it’s light hearted and fun. Easy enough to watch, even if not a great movie on its own terms.

    • I was not expecting much before watching the film, but the animation and voice actors kind of took over from there. Definitely not the best animated movie, but one that I will enjoy watching over again.
