In a remake (shocking I know) of the 1976 film of the same name, “Carrie” is actually an enjoyable movie to watch. Now, it is nothing great to go into a lot of detail, but it also is one that should be able to hold your attention for most of the film. Chloe Grace Moretz shines in yet another film that she is in. I do not see her fizzing out of the spotlight once she is not a teen anymore. She should be around for the long haul. But, anyways, Moretz stars as Carrie White, a shy girl who has no friends due to the fact that her extremely religious mother sheltered Carrie from the outside for most of her life. When Carrie has to go to a public school, her classmates begin to torment her for being different. Eventually Carrie begins to realize that she has a special gift that no one else has…telekinesis. A few of Carrie’s classmates begin to feel sorry for what they had done to Carrie, and Sue makes her boyfriend ask Carrie to go to prom with him, even though it has been Sue’s dream to go to prom during her senior year. Will Carrie have a lovely prom, or will some of her classmates push her over the limit? You should watch and find out whenever you get some free time on your hands.
