“The Wolf of Wall Street”

“The Wolf of Wall Street”

Release Date: December 25, 2013

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio simply went all out in “The Wolf of Wall Street” in order to try and get Leo that Best Actor Oscar that he truly deserves, and yet, they came up short yet again. Maybe the length of the film played a factor into Leo getting snubbed yet again, but in reality, kind of hard to beat Matthew McConaughey when he has a performance like he had in “Dallas Buyers Club,” and sure enough McConaughey plays a key factor in setting up this film as well. Time is not of the essence when watching Leo play as Jordan Belfort, an up and comer stock broker who then strikes gold and becomes the talk of the town that then has to face many struggles when he is at his highest peak.

There are many moments that will have you in complete shock, some hilarious, others disturbing. Jonah Hill plays a character like you have never seen him before. If you have not heard of Margot Robbie before this film, you simply will never forget about her after watching “The Wolf of Wall Street.” This movie does depict how cutthroat the stock market can be, especially when it comes to everyone wanting to make the quick cash. So if you have three hours to lend to this movie, then you may enjoy it a little bit more than I did.
