“Avengers: Age of Ultron”

“Avengers: Age of Ultron”

Release Date: May 1, 2015

I had so much fun while watching this film. High quality entertainment is definitely guaranteed and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” was worth every penny. With that being said, this sequel to the mammoth “The Avengers,” did not carry quite the punch in providing the best possible wowness factor that most of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe films were able to provide. The team-up of all the heroes just did not feel as special as it did in the first installment. But once accustomed to a particular thing in your life, you become more comfortable and it takes a little bit more of an effort to make someone bug-eyed and sit there in pure amazement.

Even though this movie already has a runtime of two hours and twenty minutes in length, there should have been at least another forty minutes added on in order to discard some of the small segues that lead us from scene to scene. Not going to go into any detail on those, as they would give away some key plot points to the film, but all in all, I am nitpicking the smaller aspects of the movie. Still will be buying this movie once it becomes available, so that I can watch it over and over again as “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is that electrifying and gratifying.

The quirky one-liners come out in full force and most of them hit the spot to make you laugh out loud for a split second. You are certainly not going to find those absolute knee slappers like in “Guardians of the Galaxy” that have your abdomen a little sore after watching the movie in this latest chapter of the MCU. But, that is alright, as there is plenty of action, drama and unquestionably a little more romance than I was expecting in a superhero movie. With the way Director Joss Whedon has been promoting the movie lately, seemed like he became a little burned out a bit and did not give his A+ effort in trying to provide the fans with the best possible product.

Was entertaining for sure, but the spirit of the first is sort of lost. Nice review.

    • Definitely glad new characters are starting to get introduced. Marvel can keep their material fresh and when the original six do make an appearance, will make it more special.
